Chip Tha Ripper is a hip-hop artist coming out of Cleveland, OH. I have been a fan of his ever since he first started coming out sometime in 2008 with his first mixtape "Money."

www.SLABUP.com is his blog which I recently started writing for. I will be doing mostly interviews. My first interview was with up and coming singer/songwriter/producer Mike Posner from Duke University.  Check it out below!

Be sure to check SLABUP.com for more interviews, and because it's a great blog!

"Mike Posner became one of the freshest new faces on the scene in 09' with his mixtape "Matter of Time," we at SLABUP.COM were able to get an exclusive interview with him earlier this week. Check it out below!"

100 Most Creative People In Business

FastCompany.Com put together a list of the 100 Most Creative People In Business, seeing that I am an Ad major I found this very interesting. #1 is of course Apple's number one designer Jonathon Ive. Check it out!

"There are no rules about creativity. Which made constructing our list of the 100 Most Creative People in Business a tricky task. We looked for dazzling new thinkers, rising stars, and boldface names who couldn't be ignored. We avoided people we've profiled in the recent past. We emphasized those whose creativity addresses a larger issue -- from the future of our energy infrastructure to the evolution of philanthropy to next-generation media. So read on. Enjoy. Quibble. Complain."

Chip Tha Ripper - Anne's Plan (Ft. Santigold)

U-N-I - Land of the Kings

U-N-I is a hip-hop group that is making a lot of noise on the internet in 09'. Hailing from Inglewood, CA, U-N-I is one of the up-and-coming front runners from the West Coast in "Dat New New" age of hip-hop. They have already released two mixtapes, their first titled "Before there was Love" mixed by Mick Boogie, and their second "A Love Supreme". Both of which mixtapes are available for DL at www.yothurz.com.

There new single titled "LAND OF THE KINGS" is my favorite so far, Although this group is in no way to be generalized, the sound of this track reminds me a lot of OutKast during their StanKonia faze.

The Return Of… MC Hammer?

I know I haven't posted in a while, and i am sorry for all 3 of you that are following my blog, but i thought this was worthy!

Everyone wants to bring the 90’s back? Well, top this!  Lol… TPPS presents Hammertimehosted by Hammer. The mixtape contains some of Hammer’s classics, the original samples from which they came, and some modern, club worthy remixes featuring our friends Mistah FAB, Izza Kizza and Chip Tha Ripper spitting alongside a newly revitalized Hammer.

On Hammertime, Mick Boogie takes you on a ride through the past, present, and future, using the original samples to intro some of Hammers biggest hits, as well as a few new remixes of Hammer’s most memorable records.

The project also features some of the brightest up and coming rappers like Mistah FAB,  Chip Tha Ripper, and Izza Kizza, as well as Hammer himself re-spitting a couple classic verses.  That’s right… Hammer went into the studio and respit some 90’s classics.  Production on the remixes comes by way of Mick Boogie, Good Life Mike, nVme and more.

Interludes throughout the tape include Hammer himself talking about life, the music business, and the impact he had on the world. The clips are taken from an upcoming interview Mick Boogie and Terry Urban did on their Shade 45, Press Play radio show earlier this month with Hammer, which spawned the idea to create this unique project.

Hammertime will be free for download exclusively at www.PressPlayShow.com on June 2, and across the internet June 3.

For more information, details on the project or press inquiries, please contact Dan Solomito - dsolo13@gmail.com.

**The Press Play Show airs every Saturday night from 8-10pm on Sirius Shade 45**
